Leave San Clemente through La Trinidad street, Horno de Monteagudo and Cruz Cerrada, where the San Roque hermitage is located. At the end of the street you take the road that you can see ahead crossing the Guardia Civil Avenue.

If you go out of the hostel, turn right into Emiliano Fernández Ayuso street, when you get to Guardia Civil Avenue, turn left to find the road on your right.

When you pass a kind of warehouse, take the track on the left, which you follow until you reach Casas del Tesorero; on the right you will have left a farm and a geodesic point. Leave the path that you are and continue along one on the left (be careful, as it is a small hill on the left) to cross the Pago de la Casa del Tesorero or Casa de Torrecillas, until you reach meandering onto another wide path, where you turn right, towards the Casa del Cantor, which will always lead us to Santiago de la Torre, the Santiago de la Torre commission, which in its day must have served as a defence to the passage of the river Záncara and today is an abandoned village crowned by an enormous castle, inhabited only by a shepherd and his flocks. The village is crossed, the river Záncara is crossed by a recent bridge and the pilgrim enters Los Arenales, reddish sands where the vine is cultivated, and the Columns of Santiago. Always heading west, and leaving aside all the roads that cross the one that leads to it, one arrives at the town.

The track ends at the main road to Pedroñeras, but about 100 metres before you take a dirt road that starts on the right, called Doña Elvira road, at the end of which you can see the church tower. Until here 23,7 Km.
